J’utilisais jusqu’à présent avec délice Papers, de mekentosj.com pour stocker, lire et archiver mes lectures académiques. Se points forts étaient:
- l’ergonomie de son interface, quasi parfaite (un vrai iTunes pour .pdf)
- la capacité à indexer directement depuis un .pdf via pubmed ou google scholar
- et petit délice, l’application iPhone qui permettait de récupérer à la volée en congrès des référence bibliographiques.
N’ayant plus d’iPhone ce dernier avantage à disparu et m’a laissé entrevoir quelques lacune :
- pas de synchronisation internet, obligeant à maintenir en parallèle un compte CiteULike (également une réussite, surtout depuis le développement des fonctions de suggestion, réellement pertinentes)
- pas d’interface avec word (Latex ou même de Pages’09 étant si peu répandus dans notre spécialité que le choix n’existe pas…), obligeant à maintenir diverses bibliographies sur EndNote en parallèle (qui pour le coup n’est pas un merveille…)
- et une gestion des tags assez obscure, voire pire…
Je suis tombé il y a quelques jours sur Mendeley, qui semble combler toutes ses lacunes, même si pour le coup l’interface et l’expérience utilisateur reste bien en dessous du logiciel de mekentosj. Il ne me reste plus qu’à relever le défis du transfert de tous les papiers de droite et de gauche, et je pourrais enfin dire s’il s’agit de la merveille promise…

Auto-Remplissage PubMed
PubMed propose une fonction d’auto-remplissage du champs de recherche ma fois fort pratique… Je ne sais pas depuis combien de temps, mais c’est la première fois que je le vois. Au fait, le moteur de recherche PubMed pour Firefox existe-t-il encore?
Réponse: Oui, il s’est même ajouté spontanément lorsque j’ai cliqué sur mes moteurs de recherche depuis PubMed…

J’imprime encore beaucoup d’articles que je dois lire. Et il faut bien dire que cela fout un beau bordel dans mes classements. Il n’est en effet pas rare que je trimbale une dizaine d’article et que certains restent dans mon classeur plusieurs semaines avant d’être digérés. En assurer le suivi était assez complexe jusqu’à présent. Entre les papiers non lu et classés puis oubliés (dans Papers® ou dans EndNote® en fonction…) et les papiers lus, mais rapidement perdus car finalement classés nul part, j’en au eu assez.
J’ai donc fait ce petit .pdf que j’agrafe au début de toutes mes impressions
